Ethiopia, Africa's second most populous country, has the highest number of cases in the eastern part of the continent, accounting for about 5% of the African Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (ACDC). It is one of the countries hardest hit by the pandemic, after South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt.
