Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano has apologized on behalf of the property for the "citizens'" involvement in the European Super League fiasco.
"I am just sorry for what happened in the last 72 hours. City property and I personally apologize to our fans for the inconvenience.
We believed in the good of the team and that is why we participated in the project. We understand the anger of the fans, which is why Manchester was the first team to decide to take back its participation in this event.
The board regrets its decision. "We made a mistake and we rushed to correct it."
