Stefanos Tsitsipas prevailed with a 2-0 set by Grigor Dimitrov (7-6, 6-4) and advanced to the second round of the tournament in Vienna.
Against an opponent who had two consecutive semifinals on the tour, the Greek tennis player went through difficult times, but showed character and continues on his way to his third title this year.
Stefanos was not good in the first set, he entered the match sluggishly, he was trapped by Dimitrov's aggression and he was always chasing in the set. The upset came in the tie break where they lost 1-4, saved three sets of points afterwards and resolutely won the first set.
Dimitrov proved to be a tough opponent for the Greek who, however, did not lose the lead at any point in the second set and celebrated the victory.
