More than 1.300 violations were confirmed in the last 24 hours as part of the 4.235 vehicle inspections carried out in Imathia, Kilkis, Pella, Pieria, Serres and Halkidiki, according to a relevant police announcement today.
In particular, in the context of the targeted traffic controls carried out in Central Macedonia, in the context of special traffic planning of the General Regional Police Directorate of Central Macedonia, with the aim of preventing road accidents, a total of 1.355 violations were confirmed.
Of the total number of confirmed infringements, 491 were related to speeding, 41 to illegal parking in places for the disabled, sidewalks, sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, buses, 27 to driving under the influence of alcohol, 24 to not wearing a seat belt or helmet and 20 for overtaking or moving in the opposite flow of traffic. The "menu" is supplemented with 18 violations for KTEO, 17 for violation of a red light, an equal number for worn tires, 11 for use of a mobile phone while driving and 689 other violations of the Road Traffic Code.
The police emphasize that the effort to prevent road accidents and safe traffic on the road network is daily and points out that "we must not forget that road safety is a matter for all of us".
