The 7 police officers detained in GADA for the bloody clash in Perama The Minister of Civil Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, visited earlier, while he also had a telephone conversation with the father of the 20-year-old who lost his life from the police fire during the bloody incident.
In a post on social media, Mr. Theodorikakos states the following:
A while ago I visited the GADA the seven police officers detained for the bloody case in Perama on Friday night.
My move was exclusively human and symbolic, to mentally support young people serving in the Greek Police. Beyond that, judicial development and disciplinary proceedings will proceed as provided by law.
I also contacted by phone the father of the young man who was killed in the specific incident in Perama. I expressed my sincere condolences to him.
Our society needs humanity, peace and security to move forward. Wherever we are, especially if we serve public life, we must keep this in mind.
