A series of earthquakes shook Eastern Crete in the last hour. Within ten minutes, three tremors of 3,3 and immediately after 3,9 and 3,1 on the Richter scale were recorded.

The first tremor occurred at 20:10 with an intensity of 3,3 Richter and its epicenter was eight kilometers southeast of Arkalochori. The second 3,9 Richter tremor occurred two minutes later at 20:12 with a focus of ten kilometers southeast of Arkalochori, while at 20:18 another 3,1 Richter vibration was recorded with a focus of 4 kilometers southeast of Arkalochori.

The seismic structures, due to the small focal depth at five kilometers, were strongly felt.
