Traffic regulations are in force today in Athens, due to the events for the handover ceremony of the Olympic Flame for the Winter Olympic Games "BEIJING 2022" at the Panathinaiko Stadium.

In particular, on the following streets and avenues in the area of ​​the Municipality of Athens, the traffic and the stopping and parking of vehicles is not allowed as follows:

- During the hours 06:00 to 13:00: Along Archimedes Street, in its section from Kleitomachou Street to Antifontos Street.

- During the hours 12:00 to 13:00: Along Vas. Konstantinou Avenue, in its section from its junction with Vas. Sofias Avenue to its junction with Ardittou Street in both traffic streams and along Ardittou Street, along its entire length in both traffic streams.

For their best service, drivers are kindly requested to choose their route from the following alternative routes:

From Kallirois / Vouliagmenis Avenue to Center / Kifissia:

- Kallirois (towards Center) - right Vouliagmenis Avenue - left through Karpou / L. Kafantari Avenue - towards Filolaou - Pagrati or,

- Vouliagmenis / Ilioupoleos Avenue (towards the Center) - continuation of Ath. Diakou - right Amalia Avenue - continuation of the University towards the Center or right Vas. Sofias Avenue - continuation towards Kifissias Avenue / Mesogeion Avenue.

From Vas. Sofias Avenue / Kifissias Avenue / Mesogeion Avenue to Center / Syggrou Avenue:

- Vas. Sofias Avenue (towards the Center) - continuation of Panepistimiou towards the Center or straight V. Georgiou AD - left Pl. Syntagma - continuation of Filellinon - continuation on the right of Amalias Avenue - continuation of the direct line of Syggrou Avenue or on the left of Ath. Diakou towards Vouliagmeni or Kallirois Avenue or,

- Via Michalakopoulou - left through side roads (eg Ulof Palme, Sp. Merkouri, Vas. Alexandrou, Ymittou) in the area of ​​Ilisia / Zografou / Pagrati to Vouliagmenis Avenue or Elias Iliou.

- At the same time and for the convenience of drivers, along Vas. Konstantinou Avenue, in its section from its junction with Vas. Sofias Avenue to its junction with Ardittou Street, the vertical crossings of vehicles will be allowed.
