The arrangement for the partial payment of coronary debts agreed between the Government's financial staff and the institutions included two options for settling the debts of the debtors affected by the pandemic. The first option provides for repayment of coronary debts in up to 36 interest-free monthly installments and the second alternative is from 37 to 72 interest-free installments with an interest rate of 2,5%.
Debts are estimated at about 1,5 billion euros with debtors about 850.000 affected by the pandemic, such as businessmen, entrepreneurs, suspended workers, property owners who "cut" their property, unemployed, etc.
The repayment of coronary debts to the tax office will begin in early 2022, and the first installment will be paid by the end of January next year, while the final number of installments to which each debtor will be entitled (natural person or business) will depend on criteria , while there will be a minimum installment payment amount.
The minimum monthly adjustment amount may not be less than 30 euros for total debt adjustments, including interest and surcharges, up to 1.000 euros or less than 50 euros for total debt adjustments, including interest and surcharges, over 1.000 euros.
The delay in the payment of the installment of the regulation implies its burden with a monthly increase of 5%.
