Measures to alleviate the victims of the pandemic, in order to facilitate them to meet their debts to e-EFKA are provided -among other things- in an amendment of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, submitted to the bill of the Ministry of Digital Government for the new Government .
In particular, the settlement of debts up to 72 installments of insurance contributions of companies and freelancers created in the period March 2020 - July 2021 is provided. In addition, it is possible to re-join the same regulatory regime to natural and legal persons with insurance debts who had regulated, but lost it at the same time.
The new regulatory regime can include both companies and self-employed persons whose insurance contributions had already been extended until 31 December 2021, as well as debts which became due from 1 March 2020 until 31 July 2021 and concern businesses and professionals with KAD who will be appointed in a relevant decision of the Ministry of Finance. Those interested will be able to adjust their insurance contributions in up to 72 monthly installments with a minimum monthly installment of 50 euros. Adjustment programs up to 36 monthly installments will be interest free. Adjustments from 37-72 installments will be charged with an annual interest rate of 2,5%.
The debtor will be able at any time to choose the one-time repayment of the balance of the settled debts, interest-free. The arrangement is made with the payment of the first installment until January 31, 2022. The arrangement is lost in case two installments are not paid, which will result in the loss of all benefits, while the entire balance of the debt will become immediately required.
Article 2 makes it possible for those affected by the pandemic and lost their regulation from March 2020 to July 2021 to be reintegrated into a regulatory regime. The beneficiaries of this regulation are those employers and self-employed persons who were already in installment extension regime for arrangements, but also those who have the main KAD activity that will be included in a relevant decision of the Minister of Finance. In addition, the employees in the companies with the said KAD, who were placed in the status of suspension of employment contract for any period between March 1, 2021 and July 31, 2021 will be able to rejoin in any arrangements of their insurance contributions.
Prerequisite for reintegration into regulation, is the payment of two installments (August and September) until the end of September 2021. Reintegration is done under the same terms and conditions of the regulation that was initially lost. Finally, the amendment regulates the employees of the company under special management "Hellenic Shipyards SA" (which manages the Scaramanga Shipyards) for the period April 2012-September 2013 and resolves the pending issue regarding their insurance treatment for the period mentioned above. .
