In Pakistan today exceeded the limit of one million infections from the new coronavirus.
According to the health authorities, 1.425 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were diagnosed, with the total number of cases reaching 1.000.034. It was, however, the first time they had remained below 2.000 after almost a week.
In the same 24 hours, another 11 patients with COVID-19 succumbed to COVID-19, with the death toll reaching 22.939 dead, at least according to official figures.
The active cases are 53.623; the number of people hospitalized in a serious to critical condition is 2.525.
