Outdoor Educational Programs
The Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA) deals with them creatively! Opened again this year, for the 2nd year from June 26 to September 12, 2021, the beautiful courtyards and green gardens of Museums, Cultural Centers, Libraries and Gallery, with a rich and imaginative educational program for children 6-12 years old , but also for the whole family.
We will meet the heroic figures of the Revolution - who will become our favorite? - we will become archaeologists and discover archeological finds from Kero, we will be introduced to the architecture of the gardens, we will come in contact with the ancient Japanese art Origami, we will revive the old games of the neighborhood…

STEM afternoons from the Pooi Laboratory of the Municipality of Athens *
Throughout July, in collaboration with the Technical University of Crete, children and parents discover the secrets of the magical worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, through simple applications and experiential games. !
In the open space of the Seraphim of the Municipality of Athens (Piraeus and Petros Ralli), every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday until 29/07, for schoolgirls of the Municipality of Athens and their parents.

In addition, a very rich program (attached in detail) to the renovated AB cinema, and the theaters of Kolonos and Gravas, with puppetry, music, dance, theater, and interactive performances: Police stories, Greek folk tales, dance and song, ecological and contemporary tales and ecological station stories such as "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Finally, the most favorite Summer Camp of the city with its rich educational program came from June 28 to July 16, 2021 for the 8th consecutive year in the Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens and all the seats have already been sold out!
Renovated and Certified Playgrounds
And of course, the 49 fully renovated and certified playgrounds are waiting for our friends for crazy games, in all the neighborhoods of Athens that operate daily from 08:00 to 22:00.
During all the programs, all the sanitary measures for the protection and safety of the children are observed according to the instructions of EODY and the National Committee for the Protection of Public Health.
* The WHO Laboratory, the maker space of the Municipality of Athens, is a modern municipal structure that promotes digital transformation in combination with technological and social innovation in Athens. Provides free access to the use of advanced digital design and construction infrastructures and offers free training programs for the development and cultivation of digital skills without any background requirement and without age restrictions.
Since 2017, when it opened its doors, more than 2.400 people and 110 organizations have visited the premises of the WHO Laboratory for information and cooperation, while it already counts 200 trainees -citizens of the Municipality of Athens, professionals, students and artists- who have developed and established an active makers community in the center of Athens.
An important part of this community are also the 286 teachers from schools of all levels in the 7 Municipal Communities of the Municipality, who through the program So I Learn Better of the Municipality of Athens have built in the maker space special educational equipment for their schools.
In addition, over 6000 students and 1600 citizens have actively participated in STEM workshops and open days of science and technology at the Seraphio of the Municipality of Athens, actions that focus on highlighting the advanced technological infrastructure of this unique learning space and creation of the Municipality.
The WHO Laboratory of the Municipality of Athens operates under the scientific supervision of the Technical University of Crete.
