Mothers who, while suffering from COVID-19 infection, gave birth to their children, but also mothers who, as doctors or nurses, experienced the pandemic at the Attica Hospital, speak at the web-event organized by the 9rd Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. EKPA) at the "Attikon" Hospital, and the G.N.A. "I ELPIS" on the occasion of Mother's Day on May XNUMX.
The 19rd Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of EKPA has successfully undertaken the management of pregnant women and pregnant women with COVID-2 infection, with global firsts, such as intrauterine operations during pregnancy, childbirth in a woman with kidney transplantation but also with emergency and mother who was intubated due to severe pneumonia from the SARS-CoV-XNUMX coronavirus.
In this event the motto is "Mothers-Winners of Life" and speaks for the first time the woman who gave birth while she was intubated, as well as other women who gave birth in the Attica Hospital while suffering from COVID-19 infection. Also, mothers-medical and nursing staff of the XNUMXrd Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of EKPA, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the XNUMXrd Pediatric Clinic of EKPA and the XNUMXnd Anesthesiology Clinic of EKPA at the Attica Hospital will speak, who supported the struggle of these women to with safety.
The great Greek composer, Vangelis Papathanassiou and his Foundation allowed his music to be used to project both the hope given by the mothers and the over-effort of all the medical staff for the happy outcome of their unexpected adventure. The event for Mother's Day is part of the seminar series "ATTIKORAMA in Obstetrics and Gynecology 2021" and is under the auspices of the Municipality of Athens and EKPA.
