The findings of the World Health Organization mission in the Chinese city of Wuhan, which sought the origin of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, are expected to be announced in mid-March, according to the WHO.
Peter Ben Ebarek, the Agency's expert who led the mission, told a news conference in Geneva that the current timetable was for the report to be made public "in the week of March 14-15".
WHO top expert Mike Ryan, commenting on US media reports, said that "to make it clear, first of all, there was never a plan (to make public) a provisional finding."
"We hoped to publish a summary… The general manager (of the WHO, Tentros Antanom Gebregesus) will receive the report from the group in the near future and we will discuss its proposals," he added.
