The functioning of the Courts is a basic state function and characterizes a democratic State and a Rule of Law.
The permanent position of the Bar is the full and continuous operation of the Courts to ensure the right of citizens to judicial protection and the regulation of the economic and social life of the place, where required.
The improvement of health conditions, as recorded, immediately requires the full operation of all courts and all procedures.
It no longer means a partial operation of the courts, when the restrictions on key areas of the country's social and economic life (retail, hairdressers, schools, etc.) have been lifted, where there is a presumed risk of coronavirus over-transmission. After all, experience to date has shown that the Courts, in compliance with the prescribed measures, with the responsibility of their administrations and with the cooperation of all stakeholders, have not been places of increased spread of the coronavirus.
We call on the Government to proceed immediately with the full operation of all the Courts of the Country, in compliance with the sanitary rules and procedural provisions, so that we can return to normalcy, and not lose rights, according to the model of the reopening of the Courts in June 2020.
