64,1% of citizens believe that harsh measures are needed for the economy, according to a poll publicized yesterday by the newspaper TO VIMA TIS KIRIAKIS.

The majority of citizens agrees with the announced measures for the economy, however, most of them disagree with the fuel tax hike and raising pension age limits.

Responding to a question on whether they trust political leaders, 58,6% of the participants said they trust the Prime Minister's efforts for the country's exit from the economic crisis while 57,3% applauded main opposition New Democracy leader Antonis Samaras for the conditional support of the government's initiatives.
